“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” P

salm 118:24
A Quiet Invitation
Some days feel too ordinary to notice. Others feel too heavy to enjoy. Look again. There is goodness here.
Delight isn’t the same as pretending everything is perfect. It’s the practice of opening our eyes to the small, gifts God has placed in front of us, the warmth of a cup of tea and a kind word from a friend.
When we slow down enough to notice, we begin to see that God’s presence is woven into the fabric of our day. Not just in the big breakthroughs.
Why Today Matters
God invites us to delight in today, because today is where He is actively working and guiding.
A Simple Practice for Today
Try pausing for 30 seconds and naming one thing that brings you delight right now.
A sound. A memory.
Let that small spark remind you that God is still writing goodness into your story.
Lord, open my eyes to the gifts You’ve placed in this day. Teach me to delight in the simple, the quiet, the overlooked. Help me find joy not in what I wish life would be, but in the beauty You’ve already placed in front of me. Amen.
