Peace for Anxious Hearts

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3

Anxiety has a way of tightening the chest and speeding the mind. Right in the middle of that swirl, God offers something astonishing, not a demand to “calm down, but a gift: perfect peace.
This peace is rooted in His presence.
Isaiah says God keeps us in peace when our minds are not perfectly focused, not never-wavering, but turned toward Him again and again. Every time anxiety pulls us away, we gently turn back. Every time fear rises, we whisper His name.
Take a slow breath in
. As you breathe out, pray
: “Jesus, steady my mind.”
Repeat this three times.
Then imagine placing one anxious thought into God’s hands, just one. You don’t have to fix it. You don’t have to figure it out. Simply release it into the One who holds you.
God of peace, My heart feels restless and my thoughts feel loud
. Draw me back to You again and again.
Steady my mind when it wanders,
Quiet my fears when they rise,
And surround me with the peace only You can give.
Keep me close, keep me grounded,
And keep me in Your perfect peace. Amen.
