Partner Prayer Walks – Walk and Pray With a Friend

“Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20

A partner prayer walk isn’t about speed, distance, or performance. It’s about being with God and with one another.

 For many of us — especially those who are, disabled, or carrying quiet burdens, this kind of companionship feels like a deep exhale.

A prayer walk doesn’t require fancy words. You don’t have to pray out loud if that feels uncomfortable. You can simply notice the world together, name what you’re grateful for, or hold space for each other’s needs. God meets us in the movement, in the pauses, and in the simple act of showing up.

Walking with a friend reminds us that faith was never meant to be a solo journey. We are strengthened by shared steps, shared prayers, and shared presence.

• Choose a place that feels safe and calm — a sidewalk, a park, or even pacing slowly indoors.

• Agree on a pace that works for both of you.

• Decide whether you want to pray out loud, silently, or in short phrases.

• Take turns naming gratitude, needs, or hopes.
